What does the College Football Playoff mean for Collegiate Football?

As the Inagural College Football Playoff has come to an end, and I believe that it was a great success. The Ohio State Buckeyes have won the National Championship over the number 2 ranked team in the country, Oregon Ducks, as the number 4 ranked team.

The new playoff system has shown that any team can truly win it all despite their adversities and experts writing the team off. At the beginning of the College Football Season it seemed merely impossible that the Ohio State Buckeyes would make the Playoff because of the fact that they lost their starting Quarterback, Braxton Miller, to a shoulder injury. Also their backup Quarterback, J.T. Barrett's Season was ended due to a broken ankle in the last game of the Season. But Ohio State showed determination and perseverance to not just make the College Football Playoff but they won it all by beating Alabama, and the Oregon Ducks.

Before the Season ended some of the Coaches from each respected Power 5 Conference teams had voted on if they wanted the College Football Playoff seeding from 4 teams to 8 teams, and I don't disagree with that. With 8 teams in the College Football Playoff it would lead to more storylines, more David vs. Goliath games, and more ratings and revenue for companies like ESPN, ABC, CBS, Chick-Fil A, Tostitos, Vizio, and etc. I can't wait for the next College Football Season to see what new teams will make a run for the National Championship, it's truly anybodies game.
