Preview of Super Bowl 52: Patriots vs Eagles

Super Bowl 52

This is the weekend that all NFL fans have waited for, Super Bowl 52! The game that will define who will be the Champion of the NFL. We have the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles meeting in Minnesota on Sunday. Both teams have had incredible seasons behind their great coaches, players, and game plans. Both teams have had over 12 wins this year behind their MVP candidates and stellar defenses. While dominating the regular season they had attained Division Titles and First Round byes. After good Division wins and great Conference Championship wins these juggernauts will collide on Sunday.

New England Patriots

It comes as no surprise to anyone that the Patriots are in another Super Bowl. Behind Hall of Fame Coach Bill Belichick and Quarterback Tom Brady, anything is possible. The Patriots had another dominating season with Tom Brady achieving a First-Team All-Pro, a Pro Bowl, and becoming an MVP candidate. They won the AFC East and received the number 1 seed in the Playoffs. With this experienced team despite a bad Free Agency and injuries they persevered and are heading to Super Bowl 52.

For the Patriots I believe that they are one of the more criticized teams in the NFL. Many of course hate the team because of the Patriots winning consistently. For many fans, if your team doesn't win you hope one team doesn't win every other year. but also the history of cheating. But also the Patriots have had a history of cheating. With football, it is already a hard game to play and win consistently. So when you know that a team is crossing the line of fairness to have an advantage over your opponent that's where the hate comes in. But despite all of our opinions, the Patriots are entering the 8th Super Bowl with a good chance of winning.

For the Patriots excellence is the standard and winning their Division and making the Playoffs isn't good enough. If the Patriots don't win the Super Bowl every year that Season will be looked at as a failure. With one of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time on their side, they will try to win as many as they can before he retires.

Philadelphia Eagles

This may have come to a surprise to many fans but the Eagles are really good. No one thought that the Eagles would end up being the best team in the NFC and the NFL. Nobody thought that Carson Wentz would be an MVP candidate in his second year. No one thought that the Eagles would be in the Super Bowl this early. For the Eagles, it all started with Free Agency signing Alshon Jeffrey, Torrey Smith, LeGarrette Blount, Jay Ajayi and Chris Long. They have drafted Carson Wentz, Zack Ertz, Nelson Agalor, Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham and many more. They have put themselves in a great position not just for this year but for years to come.

I believed that the Eagles could be good, but not this quickly because I think it takes time to be great. But from what I have seen I was proven to be very wrong. The Eagles dominated not just the NFC but the NFL winning lopsided games and doing it in style. But even with winning the NFC East and gaining the number 1 seed they still had challengers waiting for them in the Playoffs. In the Playoffs, they stood up to every challenger. Whether it be a close win or a blowout the Eagles have shown they are for real.

For the longest time, the Eagles have been looked at as a middle of the pack team. A team that would always catch your eye but you would wonder if they could really win it all. They have had guys like Donovan McNabb, Terrell Owens, Brian Dawkins, Michael Vick, DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy, and much more who would leave you in awe. But again the question always was could they win the "Big Game"? The city of Philadelphia is hungry for a Champion and these Eagles have a great shot at becoming Super Bowl Champions.

Predictions

For Super Bowl 52 I will have to go with the New England Patriots beating the Philadelphia Eagles 27-24. Despite the Eagles having the best team, the Patriots have the best player. I do believe that this game will be a nail-biter 'till the end. This is where we all know the Patriots are made for big game situations. I would pick the Eagles, but since Carson Wentz went down I don't have faith in Nick Foles to produce on this level. This will go down as one of the greatest Super Bowl we have ever seen. With amazing plays, an amazing Halftime show, and questionable calls this will make want to watch this game over again.
