Embracing Greatness
According to Associated Press on Saturday July 11th Serena Williams had defeated a young Garbine Muguruza winning her 21st Grand Slam trophy and her fourth consecutive major title. Serena gave a quote about the game saying "I was peaceful, feeling really good." and would go on to say "Maybe a little after that, I started to thinking about New York."
What she was referring to was the U.S. Open at Flushing Meadows in August. Over the years Serena has climbed the tennis ladder facing so many exceptional opponents and beginning to realize that her dreams are becoming reality.
She is only a few more Grand Slams away from becoming the greatest female tennis player of all time. To make this story even better while becoming a successful tennis players she has inspired so many and has become a standard of what greatness looks like on grass, clay, carpet, and on hard courts.
