Derrick Henry wins the Heisman

On Saturday Night Alabama Running Back Derrick Henry, Clemson Quaterback Deshaun Watson, and Stanford Running Back Christian MacCaffery all met in New York City for the presentation of the Heisman Trophy. Derrick Henry was presented with the 81st Heisman trophy with an SEC record 1,986 yard and 23 touchdowns beating former Georgia Running Back and Heisman trophy winner Herschel Walker.

I can honestly say that I was not surprised at all the Derrick Henry won the Heisman Saturday night it would have been an honest miracle if Deshaun or Christian had beaten him out. Derrick Henry plays for the Alabama Crimson Tide who are in the College Football Phayoff for the second straight year, his numbers are incredible for any player in college football, and the Crimson Tide has beaten any valid opponent who had a gameplan of stopping Derrick Henry and still couldn't do it.

Christian MacCaffery had an all around excellent year but his main criticism was not making the College Football Playoff and the level of competition in the PAC-10. Deshaun Watson had a breakout season and will soon be a top Draft pick and the only knock against him is that the level of competition wasn't always great this year.

Congrats to Derrick Henry being the first to win the Heisman since 2009 Heisman Trophy Winner and former Alabama Running Back Mark Ingram.
