Boogie Cousins to New Orleans
On late Sunday night Damarcus Cousins after the All-Star game in New Orleans got the news that he had been traded from the Sacramento King to the New Orleans Pelicans. When he first received the new of being traded he was very nonchalant about it. But a couple days later he was very emotional saying goodbye to a couple fans in a private setting.
With the Pelicans getting "Boogie" the Kings will get Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, and a 2017 1st and 2nd round pick. This is a much needed move for Boogie but it came as a surprise to him and to all of us, before All-Star weekend began it was known that Demarcus didn't want to leave Sacramento and Kings GM Vlade Divac was on the record saying that they will not trade Demarcus. But as we all know things change all the time, and now Boogie has learned this lesson in a short period of time. But I believe that this move will be great for Demarcus because he had a bad rap in Sacramento and this could be the fresh start that he needs.
